The Cajálbana Plateau located at latitude 22°40'N and longitude 83°16'W, in the province of Pinar del Rio, about 100 km from La Habana. Area: c. 100 km² Altitude:reaches 464 m above sea-level. The region includes the highest concentration of endemic taxa per unit area in Cuba.

The plant is small, about 15cm, it can be monofoliate of bifoliate, the pseudobulbs are ovoid, their size less than 2 cm. The plant can be litophytic or epiphytic, always near the ground. The inflorescence is usually much larger than the plant.

For cultivation water abundantly in summer, it needs much light and resists direct sunshine
