Description

Lithophytic plants, 50-70cm high, with pseudobulbs.. 1-2 linear, coriaceous leaves, 5-10 cm long by 1-1.5 cm wide. Terminal inflorescence is a panicle, can measure up to 70 cm long with 5-15 flowers

In rocky areas exposed to sunlight, it is possible to find populations of hundreds of individuals.

This species has become a true nightmare to taxonomists. It is currently assigned the name of Encyclia. bipapularis and/or Encyclia triangulifera, although they are different species.
